You can swirl the glass appreciatively if you like but with the Ritz theres’ no need to purse the lips knowingly or flare the nostrils.  Because Ritz’ aims are modest - to loosen your inhibitions, tongue and wallet.  It is lunchtime or mid-afternoon wine.  Sunshine and skirts are required for maximum effect.  If you’re shy, food can help because it gives you time to think of something impressive to say to your girlfriend.  But even silence will do as long as she’s getting on with her 2nd glass of Ritz.  At 9% its pretty friendly on the alcohol side and the hint of CO2 fizz is a real winner.

Despite a generally rainy season the riesling fruit selectively picked, was fully ripe at 20 brix with a bit of botrytis - which gives the wine texture and a luscious quality to provide a foil for the sassy zap.  Pretty much irresistible to optimists and hedonists alike.  Our tasting panel thought honey, nectarine and limes captured the spirit of our Ritz ’23.
