Being riesling enthusiasts, our four styles cover the whole territory from 4g/l to 150 g/l which just goes to show the versatility of this classic varietal.

Ragtime is lodged comfortably in the middle of the range at 10 g/l – this is chosen to avoid any face puckering from its distinctly citrus character. Our “go to” wine – sassy enough for the purists and sweet enough for the lushes.

Technically its off-dry. Flavour descriptions range from limes and apples to rhubarb and lemon meringue pie. Floral is a favourite default position. But is it elderflower, hibiscus or cineraria pericallis? Bottom line from the restaurant’s head chef is, “I’d drink it!”  High praise indeed from someone who can detect a smidgen of sriracha in her curry from a hundred paces.

So, an ideal wine for all occasions. Serious and frivolous at the same time. If anybody wants to coax Jacinda out of hibernation send her a crate of Ragtime.
